Myanmar Earthquake: Urgent Relief Needed
Myanmar Earthquake 2025
On March 28, 2025, a 7.7-magnitude earthquake struck central Myanmar, with its epicenter near Mandalay. The shallow depth of the quake intensified its destructive force, leveling homes, schools, hospitals, and entire neighborhoods. Many historical landmarks, including Bagan’s ancient temples, have suffered severe damage, erasing pieces of Myanmar’s cultural heritage.

The human toll is heartbreaking. Many lives have been lost, with many more injured. It may take significant time to assess the total significant cost.
Families have been torn apart, with children orphaned and parents searching desperately for loved ones. Thousands have lost not just their homes but their entire livelihoods, left with nothing but the clothes on their backs.

Survivors describe the terrifying moments of the earthquake—the ground shaking violently and buildings crumbling around them. Communication lines and major roads have been destroyed, making it incredibly difficult to deliver aid to those in desperate need.

This catastrophe has left entire communities in shock, grief, and uncertainty. Myanmar needs urgent support to provide food, shelter, medical aid, and long-term rebuilding efforts. Now is the time to stand with the people of Myanmar. They cannot recover alone.
