On May 2nd 2008 the 8th deadliest cyclone of all time tore through the southern region of Myanmar known as the Delta Region. The death toll from Cyclone Nargis is now estimated at approximately one million.

Together with the "Children of the Storm" we have taken another 40 children from the war zone on the Thai border. These children are known as "War Orphans". The decision to accept these children was extremely difficult due to the lack of resources our orphanage operates under.

The responsibility of another 80 children carries with it the following four essential welfare elements: medical, education, clothing and food.
