Very few schools exist in remote and rural areas of Myanmar. Where schools are present, transport is scarce, or class sizes range up to 80 students per teacher.
For the few families lucky enough to afford tuition fees, books, pens and paper, the quality of education with such unhealthy student / teacher ratios, is severely limited.
Unfortunately in some families, children are too ill with malnutrition to attend school, or they have to work to provide income for food, clothing and medicine for their family.
GraceWorks is establishing Education Centres in remote and rural areas of Myanmar to give more people access to a basic education.
For only $1200, GraceWorks can secure a piece of land in Myanmar for additional Education Centres.
